Valerie Hoag is a civil litigation practitioner, as a partner in a Kitchener law firm, a senior associate with a Hamilton litigation firm, and currently with her own practice in Kitchener. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and before various tribunals in Ontario. As a full-time professor in the law and security and police foundations programs at Conestoga College ITAL, Valerie designed the course curriculum for all of the law courses and taught four of those courses. She helped design the College’s paralegal diploma program, Bachelor of Community and Criminal Justice degree program, and two post-diploma programs. She was a member of the College’s Research Ethics Board and currently she is a member of the University of Waterloo Clinical Research Ethics Committee.
