Dale Ives is a full-time Crown counsel with the Public Prosecution Services Canada in London, Ontario. She was formerly the managing partner of Dale E. Ives Professional Corporation and Ives & Farmer LLP, where her practice was restricted to criminal trials and appeals including the prosecution of federal drug and regulatory offences as a Standing Agent for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Before entering practice Ms. Ives was a full time law professor with an Ontario law faculty for seven years specializing in the areas of criminal law, evidence, procedure and sentencing. She previously worked as a research lawyer for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and as counsel for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General’s Constitutional Law Division. She has published numerous articles and case comments in leading criminal law journals in Canada, England and the United States. She was co-Director of Education for the London Criminal Lawyers’ Association and is a past Regional Director for the Ontario Criminal Lawyers’ Association. Ms. Ives is a frequent contributor to continuing legal education for a variety of organizations including the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Criminal Lawyers’ Association, the London Criminal Lawyers’ Association, the National Judicial Institute of Canada and the Ontario Court of Justice.
