Melissa Middleton has taught Visual Arts to students in both academic and community settings for over 11 years. She holds a B.F.A. from the University of Ottawa and a B.Ed. from Queens University, specializing as an Artist in Community Education. Melissa believes that learning to create and appreciate art can foster an enjoyable, lifelong experience for every student. In her teaching practice, she helps students to develop tools that can be applied to daily life so that their experience with art extends beyond the classroom. Melissa currently works in alternative education for the District School Board of Niagara with students who have returned to school to expand their knowledge and skills to re-enter the workforce and pursue personal interests.
