Harpreet Aulakh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Justice and Policy Studies at Mount Royal University, Calgary. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon with focus in criminology and sociology of law. Her primary academic areas of interests are diversity issues and the criminal justice system, Aboriginal peoples and justice, youth gangs, youth crime and youth justice. Since 2008, she’s been teaching at Mount Royal University in the Criminal Justice program. Harpreet teaches courses in Diversity and justice, Young offenders in conflict with the law, Indigenous people and the criminal justice system. She is currently the program coordinator of justice studies in the department.
