Jonathan Dawe, B.Sc. (McGill) 1987, LL.B. (Toronto) 1994, LL.M. (Yale) 1996 has an appellate criminal law practice, in partnership with Michael Dineen. After receiving his LL.B. in 1994 he served as law clerk to former Chief Justice Lamer at the Supreme Court of Canada before attending graduate studies at the Yale Law School. Since his call to the Ontario bar in 1997 he has practiced criminal law in Toronto with a primary focus on criminal appeals, and has frequently represented the Criminal Lawyers’ Association of Ontario on interventions in the Supreme Court of Canada. He also teaches criminal procedure as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and is a co-founder of the Faculty’s appellate criminal litigation extership program.
