Kimberley Crosbie
Biography

Kimberley Crosbie (B.A., LL.B., M.A. L.S.) has been Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office – Criminal, Ministry of the Attorney General, since 2002. Before starting at the Crown Law Office, she clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She regularly argues appeals before the Court of Appeal for Ontario and has argued cases before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Supreme Court of Canada. She recently did a secondment with the Scarborough Crown’s Office prosecuting various offences in the O.C.J. and S.C.J. For the last eight years, Ms. Crosbie has co-directed an annual weeklong course for Crowns on domestic and sexual violence. She is involved with many educational presentations, programs and lectures with the Bar, judges and the police. She recently was involved in a mission to Jamaica as part of the Department of International Government Affairs and the Department of Justice Canada’s Justice Undertakings for Social Justice. Since 2009, Ms. Crosbie has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Osgoode Hall Law School. She currently teaches three courses (sentencing (J.D. and LL.M) and sexual offences) and has coached the Osgoode’s Gale moot team. Ms. Crosbie was recently appointed as the Chair for the Ministry’s Sexual Violence Advisory Group and she is also the lead for the Ministry on training and education relating to sexual violence. Kimberley Crosbie received her Hons. B.A. from Carleton University (Law and Criminology), LL.B from the University of Ottawa and a Master degree in Legal Studies from Carleton University.
