Brock Jones

Brock Jones, BA (Queen’s) 2000, MA (Toronto) 2001, JD (Toronto) 2004, was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, Brock served as a law clerk to the chief justice of the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. He then joined the Scarborough Crown Attorney’s office and currently acts as director of its youth justice team. He has prosecuted all manner of youth cases in both the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice. Brock was also Crown Counsel at the office of Crown Law—Criminal in Ontario between 2013 and 2016 and argued several youth justice cases before the Ontario Court of Appeal. He is also the author of several articles on the Youth Criminal Justice Act and has presented alongside members of the Ontario Court of Justice on youth justice matters in several forums. He lectures regularly at the Ontario Crown Attorney’s Association, the Toronto Police College, and the Ontario Bar Association. Since 2012, he has been an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, where he teaches a course on the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
