Gale Moot Cup Contest Details

Contest Rules

This contest is open to legal residents of Canada only and is limited to registrants of the 2021 Gale Cup Moot. The draw will take place on March 15, 2021.

One winner will be drawn for every 100 contestants who have entered the draw using the online ballot collector at emond.ca/gale-moot-cup-contest. The winner(s) will be contacted within one week of the draw date via the email address they provided on their ballot submission.

Contest Period

The contest will open on February 22, 2021 at 9:00 AM EST and close on March 7, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who:

  1. Are registered for the 2021 Gale Cup Moot
  2. Reside in any province or territory of Canada
  3. Are (18) years of age or older as of the date of entering the contest
  4. Completed and submitted the online ballot at emond.ca/gale-cup-moot-contest

Prizes

Each draw winner may select the book of their choice from Emond's Criminal Law Series (complete list of eligible titles here). If a print format is selected, it will be mailed to the address provided by the winner. If a digital format is selected, access will be granted to the winner via their Emond.ca account.

Method of Entry

To enter the contest for a chance to win the prize above, the contestant must complete and submit the online ballot at emond.ca/gale-cup-moot-contest.

The contest is limited to one entry per person. Completing multiple ballots will not result in any additional entries.

Ballot submissions that do not match the name or email address of a 2021 Gale Cup Moot registrant will be considered invalid and disqualified from the contest.

Draw and Winner Selection Process

The winner of the contest will be selected through a random selection process. Each winner is eligible to win one prize. Once a winner is selected for any given prize, they will not be eligible to win another prize.

Odds of Winning

The odds of winning are dependant upon the number of eligible entries during the contest period but are approximately 1 in 100.

Contacting the Winner

The winner will be contacted via the email address they provided when they submitted their ballot. Winners will be notified within one week of March 15, 2021. After a winner has been contacted, they will have one month to reply to our email or contact us directly to claim their prize. If a winner does not contact us within this window, we will redraw their prize using the process described above.

Canada Post is currently experiencing shipping delays and will affect orders to a PO box or apartment. Shipments are leaving our warehouse within 1-2 business days. All deliveries are currently NSR. Shipments to P.O. boxes and unit numbers may take longer due to Canada Post delays.
