The international sphere is of greater significance to Canadian businesses today than ever before. As economies become increasingly intertwined and trade grows exponentially, technology and increased travel continue to make the world "smaller," and an understanding of the legal aspects of international business becomes an increasingly valuable asset. The third edition of Legal Aspects of International Business: A Canadian Perspective — the only text of its kind — offers a thorough but accessible examination of the topic. It offers a Canadian perspective on the most important legal concepts, practical considerations, and relevant cases for today’s businesses.

  • Explains and defines important concepts in clear language.
  • Includes updated laws, policy, and cases of relevance to Canadian business people.
  • Describes a broad framework of global markets and regulation to help readers understand the rules that affect everyday business decisions.
  • Explains the impact of regulation, globalization, and various trade agreements, and why an understanding of law and regulation is now crucial for Canadian business people.
