Annette Demers
Annette Demers, BA (Hons. Law) (Carleton University), LLB (University of Windsor), MLIS (Western). She was appointed Acting Law Librarian for the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in August of 2011 and Associate Dean, Law Library and Legal Research Services in June of 2015. She has taught Advanced Legal Research for the past five years. She has over twenty-five years of library experience. From 2005 - 2011, she worked as a Reference Librarian in the Paul Martin Law Library. Prior to this, she worked as a Reference Librarian for International, Foreign and Comparative Law at the Harvard Law School Library. In her pre-professional career, she worked at the Library of Parliament for five years, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Library, and in the Carleton University libraries system. Annette has also practiced law early in her career.
Demers is currently immediate Past-President of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries (CALL). From 2013 - 2015, she was President of CALL. She has authored several articles, book chapters, and was editor of Legal Information Specialists: A Guide to Launching and Building Your Career (LexisNexis Canada, 2012).
