About Emond Ebooks

Our ebooks use the VitalSource Bookshelf platform. Ebooks purchased before April 14, 2023 used the Emond Reader app which has now been transitioned to VitalSource. If you have an Emond Reader ebook that you can no longer access, please reach out to us at hello@emond.ca and provide us with your lifetime ebook(s) you purchased and we will transition your ebook to the VitalSource platform.

Discover the enhanced readability and accessibility of Emond’s ebooks. Our ebooks offer a wide range of features, including the ability to access your ebooks on multiple personal devices, highlight content, take notes, read offline, and search for keywords. Their format preserves illustrative diagrams and charts as well as sample forms and precedents, and also maintains pagination so that ebook page numbers correspond to hardcopy page numbers. The VitalSource platform supports various accessibility features, such as adjustable fonts, sizes, and colours, text-to-speech, screen-reader compatibility, and high contrast mode, to make reading and learning easier for all users. Limited copying and printing are permitted, up to a daily and lifetime limit for each publication.

Purchasing an Ebook from Emond

Emond ebooks are available for purchase online. To order, browse our catalogue of titles. Once you have selected a title you wish to purchase, click on it to open its product page and view the Buying Options. Most ebooks are available with either a 1-year rental period or with lifetime access. All ebooks have limited printing and downloading capabilities, so if you prefer to read in hardcopy, please consider purchasing a print version.

Once you add a publication to your cart and proceed to checkout, you will be prompted to sign in with your Emond account information or sign up for an Emond account. Once you have signed in to or created your Emond account, proceed through checkout. After your order is complete, you can access your ebook instantly from your Digital Purchases dashboard.

NOTE: All ebooks are purchased for individual personal use only. Sharing of personal login and password information violates copyright and is strictly forbidden.

Reading on VitalSource Bookshelf

You may access and read your VitalSource ebooks from any device with an internet connection, without needing to download an app. Simply click the “Open” link next to the ebook in your Digital Purchases dashboard to launch the ebook in your browser.

You will be given the option to create a VitalSource Bookshelf account, but you may choose to skip this step and proceed without an account. However, you should consider creating a VitalSource account if you wish to save notes, highlighting, and annotations. You also have the option to download the VitalSource Bookshelf app if you wish to download your ebooks to your device for offline reading. Download the Bookshelf app here:

Emond Reader Ebooks

Effective September 30th, 2024 we are no longer supporting the Emond Reader application. If you purchased a lifetime ebook that you no longer have access to, please contact us at hello@emond.ca to inquire about transitioning to the VitalSource Bookshelf platform for your ebook.
