Davin Michael Garg
Davin Michael Garg, BBA, JD is a Judge of the Ontario Court of Justice, presiding in Hamilton. Davin received his business degree from Simon Fraser University and graduated from the law school at the University of British Columbia. Previously, Davin was Crown Counsel with the Ministry of the Attorney General at the Crown Law Office- Criminal. A well-respected trial and appellate counsel, known for his excellent written advocacy, Davin conducted Criminal Code appeals at the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He handled trials for corruption and white-collar offences, litigated and provided advice on driving cases, and was co-chair of the MAG education committee. Davin was regularly involved in continuing professional education, having taught at the Ontario Police College, Osgoode Professional Development education programs, judicial conferences, and many Crown education events. Davin was also a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto and is a member of The Advocates’ Society. Prior to his legal career, Davin was a journalist, having worked for Global and CTV, as both a reporter and a research analyst.
