Deborah Kinsella

Deborah Kinsella was called to the bar in 1997. After articling for the Office of the Crown Attorney in Etobicoke, she moved to Thunder Bay where she worked as an assistant Crown for 17 years. She was appointed to sit with the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall Ontario in September of 2016, which brought her back home closer to her family and to her beloved Habs. Justice Kinsella is a strong supporter of continuing legal education, speaking at various conferences over the years as well as being one of the directors of the OCAA Crown Attorneys Expert Evidence course for several years. Justice Kinsella has a wealth of knowledge of useless pop culture trivia (especially pop music and science fiction) and can lay claim to the title of the only judge who had Klingon spoken at her swearing in ceremony.
