Douglas Cochran
Douglas Cochran is a lawyer who was in private practice from 1984 to 2015. His areas of litigation included family law, criminal law, and civil litigation, primarily in the area of personal injury law. He also taught at Capilano University’s Institute for Paralegal Studies for 19 years. He spent approximately six years as a member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada conducting hearings in the Immigration Appeal Division. He currently holds an appointment as an adjudicator for the Health Professions Review Board. He is a special appointee to the Ethics Committee of the Certified Professional Accountants of BC and is a board member for PLEA Community Services Society, PALS Autisim Society and the Valdes Island Conservancy. Mr. Cochran wrote Interviewing Skills for Legal Professionals for Emond Publishing and has authored a number of children’s picture books.
