Frankie Young
Frankie Young is a professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on the legal issues that impact Indigenous economic development, with a particular emphasis on business organizations law, commercial law, property law, banking and finance law, and section 35 rights. She has published in the areas of corporate law, trusts, Indigenous economic development, the constraints of the Indian Act, and First Nations wills and estates. More recently, she is an author of a chapter in Wills and Estates, 3rd ed (Society of Trusts & Estate and Practitioners, forthcoming 2025) and a co-author of a chapter in Business Organizations: Cases, Materials, and Commentary, 3rd ed (Emond Publishing, forthcoming 2025).
