Kristen Boon

Kristen Boon is the Susan & Perry Dellelce Dean of the Faculty of Law (Common Law Section) at the University of Ottawa. Dean Boon is a specialist in public international law. She holds a JD from NYU School of Law and a JSD from Columbia Law School. She is also the proud editor-in-chief of the Canadian Yearbook of International Law. She began her legal career as a litigation associate in New York and is a former Canadian Supreme Court clerk. She has also served as a visiting academic in the legal bureau of Global Affairs Canada. Much of her career has focused on developing legal mechanisms to support the peaceful settlement of disputes.
