Kristine Jeffels

Kristine Jeffels has been an instructor in the Legal Assistant program at Bow Valley College since 2007. Kristine started her professional career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts and then a Legal Assistant Diploma. Upon completion of her education, she began working in the legal community in Alberta. Over a ten-year period she worked for a variety of law firms from the sole practitioner to the large national law firms in many areas of law including corporate, commercial, real estate, wills and estates, family, and litigation. Kristine teaches a variety of legal assistant courses both in the classroom and online environment. She played a role in the development of the online Legal Assistant Diploma program. Kristine is a past member and chair of the college’s academic council and faculty association. She also reviewed the entire manuscript of Emond’s Legal Professional Career Guide (2023) with an eye to suitability to Alberta.
