Peter Oliver
Peter Oliver (BA (Toronto), LLB/BCL (McGill), DPhil (Oxford) is a Full Professor in the Civil Law Section of the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa. Before moving back to Canada, he held a Chair in Constitutional Law at the School of Law, King's College London. He was a Scholar in Residence at the Constitutional, Administrative and International Law Section of Justice Canada in 2005-6, and a Special Advisor, Legal and Constitutional, in the Intergovernmental Affairs Secretariat of the Privy Council Office in 2006-7. He is a co-founder of the uOttawa Public Law Group and Public Law Centre.
Peter Oliver is the editor, together with Nathalie Des Rosiers and Patrick Macklem, of the Oxford Handbook of the Canadian Constitution (Oxford University Press). He is the author of The Constitution of Independence: The Development of Constitutional Theory in Australia, Canada and New Zealand (Oxford University Press).
