Barry Wright
Barry Wright, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., has taught at Carleton University since 1986. He is based in the Department of Law and is cross-appointed to the Department of History and the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He was Director of Kroeger College and an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Public Affairs from 2013 to 2018, has been a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London in the U.K. and is a regular visiting scholar at the School of Law, University of Queensland in Australia. His main area of research and publication is legal history, focusing on criminal law reform and government in 19th century British colonial settings and political trials and national security measures in Canadian history.
