Bruce MacDougall
Bruce MacDougall, B.A. (Hons.) (Acadia), B.A. (Juris.), LL.B. (Dal.), B.C.L., M.A. (Oxon.), is Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. For over three decades, he has taught courses in contract and commercial law in Canada, the United States, Thailand, and England. A Rhodes Scholar and former lawyer in Ontario and British Columbia, Bruce is actively involved in continuing legal education programs and has been recognized with the teaching excellence award at the University of British Columbia. Bruce is Chair of the Judicial Council of the Tsawwassen First Nation and has participated in law reform projects on commercial law in British Columbia.His publications include Estoppel, Mistake in Contracting and Misrepresentation (treatises published by LexisNexis Canada); Introduction to Contracts; Canadian Personal Property Security Law; and the Estoppel and Personal Property and Secured Transactions titles for Halsbury’s Laws of Canada.
