David Freedman

David Freedman was called to the Bar in 1990, and is now both a tenured law professor and a practicing lawyer. He teaches Wills and Estates, Trusts, Civil Procedure, and Trial Advocacy in the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. Aside from his expertise in estates and trusts law, David has a very strong interest in the law affecting older adults. He founded the first elder law clinic at a Canadian law school and remains strongly involved in the development of the law in this area.David is a frequent speaker at academic conferences and has presented to audiences recently under the auspices of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the National Judicial Institute, county law associations, and community organizations dedicated to the interests of older adults.
