Emily Lawrence

Emily Lawrence is a partner at Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP in Toronto, Ontario. She holds a bachelor’s degree (honours) in political science from Concordia University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was called to the bar in Ontario in 2006.

Emily regularly acts for clients in civil and commercial disputes, employment and pension litigation, and administrative law proceedings, and has appeared at all levels of court. She maintains an active hearing practice and has particular expertise in administrative and civil proceedings involving regulated professionals as both a prosecutor and defence counsel before regulatory tribunals and in the civil courts. She frequently acts as counsel in judicial review proceedings and appeals from administrative tribunals.

Emily participates regularly as a panelist and instructor at law schools and professional CLE programs in the areas of administrative law and advocacy skills development. She has authored several papers on procedural fairness and administrative law principles.
