Gerard J. Kennedy
Gerard J. Kennedy, B.A. (Toronto), J.D. (Queen's), LL.M. (Harvard), Ph.D. (Osgoode) is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Manitoba. He teaches and researches in the areas of civil procedure, administrative law, and constitutional law. In addition to The Civil Litigation Process, 9th ed, he is the author of The Charter of Rights in Litigation: Direction from the Supreme Court of Canada (Thomson Reuters, 2020), and dozens of articles in his areas of expertise. He has been a visiting scholar at NYU School of Law and the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law. Prior to entering full-time academia, he was a litigator at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and a law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
