Jennifer A. MacLellan
Jennifer A. MacLellan, QC, is a senior Crown counsel with the Appeals and Special Prosecutions branch of the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service. She has argued appeals at the Supreme Court of Canada and is an advisor with the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute. Jennifer regularly appears as counsel before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and has conducted conflict prosecutions in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Manitoba. Before focusing on appellate work, Jennifer prosecuted trials for many years in both adult and youth court. Jennifer is an International Fellow of the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute in Washington, DC. She has presented on criminal law topics to a wide range of audiences, including lawyers, police and provincial investigators, students, and the media. She was awarded her Queen’s Counsel designation in 2016. Jennifer is from Inverness, Nova Scotia.
