Jill D. Makepeace

Jill Makepeace is a partner at Greenspan Humphrey Weinstein LLP in Toronto. Jill’s practice is divided between conducting criminal trials and appeals. In addition to her commitment to practice, Jill enjoys teaching and mentoring law students. She currently serves as an articling principal and was a devoted sessional lecturer at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law for a decade. She has taught criminal law, advanced crim- inal law, and an advanced advocacy seminar geared to students pursuing criminal law careers. Jill also contributes regularly to continuing legal education programs and cur- rently serves as co-editor of the publication of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, For the Defence. She received her LLB from the University of Windsor and her LLM from the University of Alberta. Jill was called to the Ontario bar in June of 2006.
