Joan Emmans

Joan Emmans is a retired college professor and lawyer. Prior to retirement, she taught in the School of Legal and Public Administration at Seneca College – mainly in the areas of real estate and family law. She obtained her law degree from Queen’s University. A member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, she practised law for 12 years, and taught real estate law to real estate agents for the Ontario Real Estate Association, prior to joining the faculty at Seneca. As well as co-authoring Residential Real Estate Transactions, she contributed a chapter on real estate law to an introductory legal textbook.
