Jonnette Watson Hamilton

Jonnette Watson Hamilton (B.A. U of A; LL.B. Dalhousie; LL.M. Columbia) is a Professor Emerita, Law at the University of Calgary. She taught 20 different law courses over 30 years, most recently in the areas of property law, property theory, wills and estate, and law and literature. Her research is primarily focused on equality rights, residential tenancy law, and combinations of those two areas. She has published over 18 articles on the Charter’s section 15 guarantee of equality, most of them with her co-author and colleague, Jennifer Koshan. Their work had been frequently cited by the Supreme Court of Canada.
