Kelly Williams-Whitt
Dr. Kelly Williams-Whitt (she/her) is the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. She is a Professor of Human Resources and Labour relations and has an active practice as a labour mediator and arbitrator. She is a former registered nurse, with an MBA and a PhD from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
Prior to taking on the role of Dean, Dr. Williams-Whitt was an active scholar and instructor for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience teaching courses in occupational health and safety, labour relations, employment law, human resource management, and workplace diversity. Her research involves collaboration with colleagues from around the world conducting studies in management of workplace health, illness, and injury. Her work is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and she has authored numerous books and book chapters on work disability and labour and employment law. Dr. Williams-Whitt holds an appointment with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (Labour Program) as an adjudicator for cases falling under the Canada Labour Code, is a member of the College of Reviewers for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation.
