Philip Girard

Philip Girard is based at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, where he holds the title of University Research Professor and teaches in the areas of property, legal history, and equity and trusts. He has published widely in Canadian and comparative legal history, and in 2011 he was made an honorary fellow of the American Society for Legal History. Philip holds an LLB from McGill, an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in History from Dalhousie.
