Sharryn J. Aiken
Sharry Aiken (BA, MA, LLB, LLM) is an associate professor in the Faculty of Law at Queen's University, where she teaches immigration law, international refugee law, international human rights, and administrative law. Prior to her appointment at Queen’s, Sharry practiced immigration law with legal aid clinics in Toronto and in private practice. A past president of the Canadian Council for Refugees and former editor-in-chief of Refuge (2001-2011), Sharry continues to be actively engaged in advocacy and pro bono litigation. She is a co-author of Migration Law in Canada (Wolters Kluwer, 2013). Her current research focuses on the nexus between migration and national security issues.
