Hilary Findlay

Hilary A Findlay, BA, BPHE, MSc, PhD, LLB, is a former professor (now retired) in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario. She taught courses in sport law, contracts, intellectual property and licensing, and negotiating techniques. The focus of her research was on legal issues affecting sport, particularly those impacting the regulation of sport organizations both domestically and internationally. Also a practising lawyer, she spent many years representing the interests of sport organizations, athletes, and coaches across Canada. She continues to research and write in the area.
