Michael L. Maynard
Michael Maynard is a mediator, investigator, facilitator, and Integrity Commissioner practicing with ADR Chambers in Toronto, Canada. He has mediated more than 2,000 private and public disputes. His areas of expertise include administrative, civil, code of conduct/disciplinary matters, contract, insurance (including personal injury and Statutory Accident Benefits matters), landlord/tenant, and workplace disputes.
Michael serves as the ADR Chambers Integrity Commissioner for Niagara Region, the Town of Grimsby, the Toronto District School Board, and the Durham District School Board, and is an investigator with the ADR Chambers Office of the Integrity Commissioner for Ontario municipalities. He investigates public complaints with the ADR Chambers Ombuds Office for banking and municipal matters and is a qualified and experienced workplace discrimination and harassment investigator for the Ontario government. As a workplace restoration facilitator, Michael works with organizations and individuals to help them rebuild and refocus following disruptive conflicts.
Michael has a background in political and public-policy matters and has consulted on organizational framework and ADR systems design. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the York University Certificate in Dispute Resolution. He has taught and developed ADR related courses at Durham College and was a co-founder of the Durham College / Ontario Tech University campus mediation service.
