Thomas Telfer
Dr. Thomas Telfer is an associate professor at Western University, where he teaches contracts, commercial law, and bankruptcy and insolvency law. He is the author of Ruin and Redemption: The Struggle for a Canadian Bankruptcy Law, 1867-1919, published by the University of Toronto Press and the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History. He is a co-author of Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law: Cases, Texts and Materials (1st and 2nd ed., Emond Montgomery Publications, 2003 and 2009).
Dr. Telfer was the recipient of the Canadian Insolvency Foundation 2013 Lloyd Houlden Memorial Research Fellowship. He serves on the editorial board of the Annual Review of Insolvency Law and is the specialist editor in insolvency law for the Canadian Business Law Journal. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Toronto, Osgoode Hall Law School, Case Western Reserve University, University of Adelaide, University of Victoria of Wellington, and the University of Auckland.
