Emond Publishing is proud to announce that The Canadian Foundation for Legal Research has awarded Modern Criminal Evidence (Toronto, Emond Publishing) with the 2023 Walter Owen Book Prize for exceptional legal scholarship in Canada.

After positive reactions to our launch of Casebook+ Contracts and Casebook+ Torts last year, we took the leap and established Casebook+ portals for the full range of 1L subjects taught at most Canadian law schools.
As of this summer, the purchase of a new first-year Emond Publishing casebook comes with free access to the corresponding Casebook+ portal.

Through our collaborations with Indigenous platforms, national charities, and by offering student bursaries, we aim to support the educational aspirations of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals across Canada. It bridges common gaps in legal research and writing knowledge arising from foreign legal education and legal systems.

Our new 4th edition of The Comprehensive Guide to Legal Research, Writing & Analysis offers an in-depth, comprehensive, and up-to-date resource to help readers develop the practical competencies required by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. The text provides coverage on provincial, territorial, and federal research tools and processes. It places a keen emphasis on applying research techniques in both academic and professional settings.
